GOUDALE GRAND CRU 33CL – Case of 12 Bottles sits within the Goudale range as a etrangère with a clear Belgian brewing character. It is particularly well suited to stews, roast meats and mature cheeses, while proper glassware and serving it cool rather than ice-cold will allow more aroma and flavour to develop.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Dark malt, caramel, dried fruit and soft belgian yeast.
Palate: Rounded malt with toffee, bread crust and dark-fruit character.
Finish: Smooth and warming with lingering malt, fruit and gentle bitterness.

Abbey Ale Notes –
Full-bodied yet lively with classic belgian yeast character. Not quite my favourite expression of the style, but there is plenty of character. A slow pour and a little time in the glass suit it well.
Serving Notes –
Powerful but balanced, with carbonation carrying the strength well. The balance is what stands out most. A particularly good candidate for a mixed Belgian beer selection.
Belgian Beer Notes –
Generous and warming with ripe fruit and peppery spice. There is enough individuality here to make it worth revisiting. There is enough character here to enjoy it without food.
Style Notes –
Generous and warming with ripe fruit and peppery spice. It would sit very comfortably alongside cheese or charcuterie.
